Sean Rocco Salon opened in 2015 with one primary goal, we want you to LOVE YOUR HAIR. Our devoted staff cares about you and your hair needs. We are family and we want you to be a part of our family too. The staff is dedicated to continuing education so their technical and customer skills are at the apex of your experience...we are striving to be the best for you.
Founded by Sean and Mark, our goal in starting the salon was to bring a group of individuals with different backgrounds together, so each person can enrich each other. We wanted to share our experience in the hair industry with other hair stylists/potential stylists.

SEAN DUNCAN
What is the old adage? "
A picture is worth a thousand words."
As you can see below, Sean's obsession with hair began at an extremely young age, who knew his sister would be his first client. Thanks to his mother for her innate ability to style hair, Sean would become a student at a young age and be enamored with a makeover.

Sean's early career began at one of Atlanta's Premier salons, where he would build a strong technical skillset. An interesting career would follow, starting with becoming one of Atlanta's Top stylist named by Atlanta Magazine.
Respected for his keen eye in the beauty industry, his editorial work would be represented in publications
like American
Salon and
Salon Today.

Moving to Los Angeles, Sean would refocus his energy into a career within the television industry. This is one of the most profound experiences to date that has shaped his career and life. After training at the Makeup Designory and On Set Productions, he would land his first television show working with key hairstylist Dean Banowetz on Season 3 of "American Idol". This would lead into becoming the key hairstylist on the Nationally Syndicated Emmy Award-Winning Entertainment News Show 'EXTRA' for the next 10 years. He would style the host/talent and celebrity guests for 'EXTRA's daily show, as well as, create Red Carpet Looks for the talent during awards season.
Living in Charlotte, creating a salon experience and training the next generation of stylists is his current career path.
MARK LAROCCO
For Mark, becoming a hairdresser was a journey, one that would follow him through an undergraduate degree, a graduate degree and a previous career. His desire to become a hairdresser was deep rooted and would inevitably surface. He made a leap of faith and has never looked back. While gaining the necessary training in beauty school, he began assisting at one of Atlanta's top salons, where he would become one of the their best stylists, colorists and employees. Mark would build his foundation and knowledge of photo-styling in Atlanta and apply it to his next career phase in Los Angeles.
After moving to Los Angeles, Mark attended The Makeup Designory where he studied beauty makeup as well as became a journeyman in prosthetic application. After furthering his education, he would begin marketing himself as a freelance stylist for the media industry. Over the next 10 years in Los Angeles, he worked with television shows like, the soap opera "Days of Our Lives", the reality show "American Idol", “The Insiders List”, and many infomercials, as well as, maintained a client base at a West Hollywood salon.
Mark’s character can be described as charismatic, loyal, dedicated, caring and professional which manifested in the relationships he has built with clients over many years. Whether styling hair for a television production or an individual in the salon, it is the end result that matters to Mark, that is, beautiful and camera ready hair. Mark is dedicated to the beauty industry and would love to pass along his knowledge to the next generation of stylists, so opening a hair salon in Charlotte is his current career path.
